Clam Privacy Policy

Effective 17 September 2026

Clam is a screen-time app that locks apps you choose for a period you choose. It is built so that it does not need your data.

What Clam collects

Nothing that identifies you. Clam has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of its own.

What stays on your device

What Clam can't see

Clam does not read, record or report which apps you open, what you do in them, your messages, your browsing or your location.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment information. Clam only receives confirmation that a purchase is active.

Analytics

Clam may record anonymous, aggregated events about how the app itself is used (for example, "onboarding completed" or "session started") to improve the product. These events contain no personal information and are not linked to your identity. Clam does not use advertising identifiers and does not sell data.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Clam uses them only to tell you a session has ended or that a free trial is about to end. They are scheduled on your device.

Children

Clam is for personal use by the device owner and is not a parental-control product. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
